THE HISTORY OF THE SCHOOLS
At-Tawheed Model Schools Ado-Ekiti started with Nursery and Primary Section in the year 2000. As at then, there have well over sixty non-Muslim Private Nursery and Primary Schools in Ado-Ekiti. The School being a faith-based one has continued to make giant strides in impacting Muslim students with the right Islamic creed. Currently, the school is servicing all areas in Ado-Ekiti and its environs. The idea of establishing a mission school by the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Ekiti State Area Unit was conceived by some members of the Society primarily living in Ado-Ekiti. The Ado-Ekiti branch of the school was established in September, 2000 under Ado-Ekiti Area Council which now serve as ‘The Custodian’ to the School. At the referendum of the Society held in the year 2012, the ownership of the school was changed to Ekiti State Area Unit. Establishment of branches outside Ado-Ekiti was approved. The supervision of those schools were to be done by the Area Council whose territory the branches were established in capacity as ‘The Custodian’.

The School took off in a temporary location at Dalimore/Kajola Mosque, Ado-Ekiti and within two sessions, the location could no longer contain the growing school population. The management rented a fenced 4-bed room bungalow at Iyin/Ilawe bye pass road where the school resumed in September, 2002. To put an end to incessant relocation, the present school permanent site was acquired, developed and commissioned in January, 2004. Since then, the school’s infrastructural facilities have been developing progressively.
At inception, school commenced activities with a population of 100 pupils in year 2000 and rose to over seven hundred within ten years of its establishment. Presently, the population is over nine hundred. , the school has a befitting and spacious mosque, standard hall, science laboratories, CBT and ICT centers, library and administrative offices.
The schools’ boarding section commenced in January, 2013. Since then till date, it has been running smoothly and effectively. At the moment, the boarding facilities is managed by a Manager with house master and two housemistresses. In the same vein, the transport system has been very effective. It should be noted that the transport system has been running at subsidized rate from inception to date. Presently, the School has about five functional buses.
Alhamdulillah for the journey so far, At-Tawheed Model Schools has built prestige and good reputation for itself to the extent that it has become a household name in Ekiti, Nigeria and the world at large. Every other communities have continue to request for the establishment of a branch in their domain.
